The Neighborhood

We are proudly located in the Station North Arts District of Baltimore which has ample parking, metered and free. Be sure to take the time to read and acknowledge all signs as every block is different.

Parking tips:

Prioritize free spaces. The Guilford Avenue Bridge is 100% free and you can see your vehicle from Studio A. Pay attention to the bus stop signs!

Bring change. The cost, time limits, and operational hours of the meters in the neighborhood are all different. Be sure to read them carefully, even if you have parked at another meter in the area before.

East Oliver Street has metered parking along the side of the building, and free spaces (parallell parking required) on the opposite side of the street. You can see your vehicle from Studio A when parked along this street.

You can pull up front to unload. Make sure to check into your booking first so that you have keys. Never leave your car/ personal property unlocked or unattended.

Public Transit

The studio is located 3 blocks from Baltimore Penn Station, the area's largest ground transportation hub. The walk takes about 10-15 minutes for most people. There are a few busy street crossings, but you'll always have a wide sidewalk.

Penn Station also has an abundance of metered taxis out front and is an easy place to catch an Uber or Lyft.

Lime and Bird scooters (and soon Lime Bikes) are typically available at the station, and sometimes outside or within a block of our building.

The MARC train is $8 from Union Station Washington, DC or $5 from BWI Airport.

Coming from DC via train? You want the MARC Penn Line. The $8 ride takes an hour from Union station.

The slightly more expensive, but faster Amtrak services the entire eastern seaboard with daily trains from DC to Boston.
